Betsy Seabert
head shepherdess
Explain what your role at point6 is…
As the Head Shepherdess, I make sure our flock of employees, sales reps, retailers and distributors is properly cared for and supplied with the tools they need to be successful. More literally, I am responsible for the marketing and branding for Point6 including the website, tradeshows, public relations, collateral and merchandising. When I'm not busy with marketing, I put on my sales hat and manage all of international sales. We are building the demand for point6 in Europe, Asia and beyond. These are exciting times for point6!
Favorite point6 socks?
I have seasonal favorites. In the summer, I love the low cut Active Micro and wear them at the gym, running or gardening. In the winter, the Ski Light is great for telemark skiing and also doubles as lifestyle socks in my cowboy boots.
Favorite thing to do while wearing them?
Throw a game of horseshoes.
Best vacation spot you have taken your point6 socks to?
Point6 socks have accompanied me on several camping trips to the Colorado high country. They love hitting the trail and hiking above timberline.
Favorite inspirational quote?
"Uuuuhhhhhhhhh." . . as only my son, Kent, can say.
Favorite local spot to wear your point6 socks?
Botanic Gardens along the Yampa River.
When you leave the point6 office, what are you up to?
Off to hear some local music or spend time in the kitchen crafting up something interesting.
If you could take your point6 socks anywhere in the world where would you go?
Anywhere! I love seeking out new places and getting outdoors. I am particularly fond of Europe and exploring the culture, history and beautiful scenery. There are a lot of destinations on my list to visit.
Favorite bit of wool trivia...
I love traditional wool garments, particularly from Ireland and Scotland ( I do have a lot of Irish blood in me. ..) An average wool kilt uses 9 yards of wool and weighs about 8 pounds!
